Make money or make sense

I hear what Amit Vermaji is saying about what Amitji is being made to say when he says this. But more often than not a writer has to compromise on what he would ideally like to say to be able to say anything at all. (Something I'm sure an independent like Vermaji is well aware of.) Considering I come from the same industry, I know were Balki is coming from. Make no mistake, the writing in Cheeni Kum is far from great. But by Indian standards, it is a superior film.
